Category

Rare mid-century pitcher-shaped vase by Bay Keramik, model 282-25, dating from around 1955. The form is documented in Horst Markus Keramik der 50s, and the graphic “Florenz” décor is referenced in the Catalog der 50s, Düsseldorf 1988. This décor is considered one of the most expressive Bay patterns of the late 1950s.

The vase features the characteristic flowing S-shaped silhouette typical of this design period. The cleanly executed cream, dark brown and yellow décor gives the piece a strong visual presence and highlights its sculptural form.

Condition

Near mint condition. No chips, no cracks, no repairs. Only minimal age-related wear on the base. Extremely well preserved and highly collectible.

A rare large variant of the 282-25 model and a striking example of German mid-century modern pottery – perfect for collectors, interior styling, sideboard décor or modern retro homes.
